left to right: Aaron DeLaRosa and Phil Miarmi can't decide what to order
Like a two headed songwriting Cerberus, The Secret Alphabet keep churning out weird little songs pushed to the fringe of pop whimsy. Recorded in bedrooms and living rooms, utilizing whatever instruments are at hand (from battered acoustic guitars to aspirin bottles to cereal box drums), the music is filled to bursting with feeling, with character and with purpose. The rhythmic flourishes, seemingly throwaway choruses and inflections on certain words and phrases reveal that there's more happening here upon every subsequent listen.
