We recorded these three songs in Phil's bedroom. Beth took a one day script supervising class in NYC on an early Saturday morning so I drove her in and then headed to Phil's apartment. The songwriting consisted of Phil coming up with verse chords and me coming up with chorus chords. I would take the guitar into the kitchen to write lyrics while Phil recorded bass tracks or keyboard or whatever. Percussion was usually anything we could shake or bang pens on - pill bottles, cereal boxes, a souveneir bongo drum, etc. When you have these type of impromptu jam sessions, the results are always mixed but I would have to say that I am really happy with the way these turned out. I guess Phil is my corresponding musical puzzle piece.
