The skewed noise pop of Housemother Dunbar is a wonderful mess of contradictions - thrilling displays of the frantic and ecstatic. The odd five piece band (with a lead bass player and rhythm bass player) bulldoze their way through their songs with grungy garage-rock abandon that nonetheless feel momentously epic. Before their breakup, in their brief time, they managed to record a handful of tracks that only hinted at their full potential.
