Stephen Ericson was the pop mastermind behind the band Truckee and one of the unholy songwriting trinity of Contact By Garvey. His unconventional approach to songwriting and unique and inventive guitar work elevates him above your average singer/songwriter.
His first solo album Average Temperatures and Rainfall is a carefully layered lo-fi mosaic of personal affecting songs. At times both beautiful and disturbing, with insights from the humanly mundane ("When You Come Home") to the wonderfully bizarre ("Diary of a Werewolf"), it still retains an intimate edge. Steve is constantly working on new music with plans to release EPs every few months. He currently lives in California with his wife, Melissa, and his two sons, Keith and Graham.
